By Moris Beracha.- Yoga is a centenary activity of mental and physical discipline that originated in India. This word is derived from Sanskrit yogah, meaning ‘to join’ or ‘to unite’. This practice leads to the union of the soul and the body, which enables us to have harmony between divinity and spirit.

The goal of this practice is achieving overall wellbeing and can be adapted to any person and condition. People can start practicing yoga at any age and at any time.

Many people view yoga as a limited activity that not everyone can do; however, this is totally false, quite the opposite, it is completely inclusive.

To do yoga:

• A specific physical condition is not required to practice it.

• No matter what age you decide to start.

• There are no exceptions regarding the practitioner’s gender.

• Religion is not important because it is universalist.

• Pregnant women can also do yoga.

Yoga as a regular practice in daily life improves health, gives strength, flexibility, endurance and energy, as well as concentration and emotional stability. This practice can help pregnant women have a natural childbirth and a better postpartum recovery and helps seniors combat problems associated with age.

Even though most practitioners decide to choose an instructor, many prefer to start on their own with the help of Internet videos. This shows how simple yoga is.

Therefore, yoga is not exclusive and has countless benefits.
